3 Home Workout Essentials

Hi babes, If like us, your starting to get used to the idea of home workouts (we have defo had a period of adjustment!!) and are thinking about things you might need to get the most out of your workouts, then look no further! We've worked with Vector Training, a Manchester-based training organisation that specialises in fitness qualifications, to put together 3 essentials for at-home workouts. We have only picked 3 workout essentials as we don't want you wasting a ton of money on things you'll never use again! These are also bits of kit that will still be useful once this is over and as a little bonus we've popped in some exercises that you can try too  Below, we’ve outlined how much space you’ll need, the 3 essential bits of kit needed, and our 10 favourite exercises that’ll help you keep on track of your goals without missing the gym too much!   Space needed Keeping it super simple, with these pieces of equipment you’ll be able to perform all of the exercises within a 2m x 1m space. Ideal for those in tight spaces. 1. Yoga Mat Ok – so this may be an easy one to guess but a yoga mat can never be undervalued! A yoga mat is a great base for stretching and you can even use it as your mini gym floor, as it can absorb small amounts of impact while you workout. They’re also really easy to roll up and store away. 2. Resistance bands Resistance bands are great little tools to have for your home workout. They’re lightweight, store easily and provide a number of different exercise options. You can pick them up online for cheap too which is a bonus! We recommend getting a set that includes different strengths, so you’ll be able to use the bands for different muscle groups and exercises. 3. Kettlebell  Like the resistance bands, we suggest getting a set of 3 Kettlebells so you can use them with different exercises and muscle groups. The great thing about kettlebells is that you can hold them with different grips, swing them, as well as the more traditional movements that you would associate with a dumbbell! You can use a single kettlebell to perform a range of exercises that can help you improve your strength, balance, core power, and help melt fat in the process! Just a little note here babes, we haven't linked any products as we know you are super capable of googling them xx Exercise Favourites Now you've got your 3 home workout essentials kit, whats next?  With these core pieces of equipment we’ve outlined you can perform easily over 50 different exercises! We’re not going to go into too much detail on exercises and how to perform them right now, that’s for another day, but our top 10 favourites that we know will work great and ensure you don’t miss the gym too much are: Resistance band good mornings Kettlebell sumo squat Kettlebell Russian twist Kettlebell swings Resistance band front raise Kettlebell Lunges Resistance band glute kickbacks Resistance band press-ups Resistance band bicep curls Kettlebell single-arm should press We hope you enjoy getting creative, having fun and getting sweaty at home as much as you do in the gym!
