After the success of our Blog on the Dad trainer from earlier in the year, we have decided to do another instalment.
If like us, you have invested in this trend and love it, you will want to know what is coming next! Or, if you are still unsure of the Dad trainer look and need a little more convincing! Keep reading!
We will update you on the latest ‘dad’ trainers coming through and also the ones that we can afford!!! Making buying into this look easier than ever!
These are our top picks for the season ahead……
One of the first affordable ‘dad’ trainers that hit the mainstream market was the Fila Disruptor, this season it has had a rework and is chunkier than ever. The Fila Disruptor 2 is a great one to add to your winter wardrobe, as let's face it, we spend most of winter in black/dark cols! The Disruptor 2 has just been named shoe of the year 2018 so even more reason to invest in a pair of these and at £80 they are on of the most affordable on the market.
It's also very reminiscent of the new Vetements chunky dad trainer also in black, so this one will definitely be a hit for the winter!
Sticking with the all-black trend the super popular Adidas Falcon is set to release an all black version with neon green accents - this shoe is a serious big hitter for this season as they have just released their latest colours with Kylie Jenner, so you know this is gonna be a big dad trainer for the season!
The dad trainer trend definitely seems to be getting bigger and bolder, platforms are chunkier and colours are getting brighter and bolder for this season - Balenciaga has released images of their new fall colours for the season featuring neon greens, oranges and a bright blue/yellow colourway definitely making a very 90’s statement.
In answer to this Puma are set to realise a new version of the Thunder Electric this time going for a super bold look! These defo move on the dad trainer trend into the new season.
Fila has channelled their inner 90’s and are due to release their latest version of the updated dad trainer, going for a classic navy and yellow combo. The Euljiro Retro Wave shoe is a massive throwback which we cannot get enough of!
Adidas are also following suit with their totally 90’s Adidas original Yung 96 dropping in white and orange. These have just hit the shops now and not too pricey at £84.99. If you've yet to buy into the dad trainer trend, these could be a great one to try.
One of our fave contenders and a definite outsider for the dad trainer trend this season comes from Vans Varix WC. These have just dropped and are close to selling out, so if want some, you best be quick!!!
One of the most similar looking trainers to the Balenciaga triple S.
If you have got a little more dollar to spend but cannot quite reach the Balenciaga Triple S price tag - make sure you check out ASH footwear's take on them, The Addict - these babies will set you back £230 but wow are they similar!!! They also have a few more mega lust worthy styles launching soon that we are in love with!!! Have a snoop at their insta page here
Thanks for reading lovelies and will keep you up to date with all things DAD trainer!
